The proposal of a life time. Mike contacted me months before his planned proposal date. We immediately hit it off and began planning the perfect proposal. In the weeks leading up to the big day Mike and I met on campus, climbed all the way to the roof where he planned to propose and then scouted out locations for me to grab the perfect photos of the proposal, which just so happened to be another rooftop of a different building. Test photos were taken and our plan was set. Jen had no clue. She thought she was getting dressed up to be an '“extra” for a photoshoot/video that Mike had to do for his job. See Mike does photo and video work for MCW, so the plan was perfect. They were to go to the roof top to grab some footage and I was a “hired” independent contractor schedule to “work” with Mike that day. We met up and “discussed our game plan” for the day then we went to our respective locations. I called Mike letting him know I was set up and ready. Everything went perfectly and Jen was very excitedly surprised with Mike’s romantic and very well thought-out proposal.

At this point I’m not quite sure Jen knew what was about to happen.

Her tears of happiness as Mike got down on one knee where picture perfect and of course she said ‘yes!’

They are likely the first and also quite likely the last couple to get engaged on the rooftop here at St. Norbert College and I am so honored to have been lucky enough to capture it.

After we went to their favorite places around campus as they are both St. Norbert Alumni.

The plan went so perfectly, they had a beautiful day. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
